We also look forward to sharing with you more information about the school and answering your questions in person.

Step 3

September 15th, the 2018-2019 written application process will be open. In order to sign up for a family interview with co-founders Sue Brooks or Alli Frank, you will need to have attended one parent information session, completed and submitted the written portion of the application process and paid the $75.00 application fee.  Kindly email the application form to: or you may hand it to one of our admissions staff in person at a parent information night.

After you have completed the application, paid the fee and attended an information session we will then organize with you three important events:

One, we will schedule an in-person interview with one of our two founders. Children are not present for this interview.

Two , we will email you a letter of recommendation form to be filled out by an adult who has worked with your child in some sort of social learning capacity (Teacher, Caregiver etc.).  It is available in English and Mandarin. This form is only for children applying to the Pre-K program and who are 4 years old by Sept 1. The letter of recommendation is to be sent directly back to the school no later than February 16, 2018 to: Sue Brooks, 301 30th Avenue S, Seattle WA. 98122 or

On March 16, 2018 each family will receive an email with an admission decision.  If accepted there will be a letter and intention to enroll form (as a school philosophy we try to be electronic heavy and paper light). If the school is not fully enrolled by March 16th, the admission cycle will stay open on a rolling admissions basis.

Remember, at all times we are here to guide you through this process! Reach out at any time to We are here to help and support you as you begin to understand if IFS is the right fit for your child.
